Today my Blog post is about one of my favorite childrens books that I think that a lot of people know about, it is called The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. For those that don't know the story, I will recap. The Giving Tree is a story about a relationship between a young boy and a tree. The tree gives everything it has to all the boy's desires. by the end of the story the tree is nothing more than a stump and the boy is now an old man, now unable to give all she has to the boy, the only thing she can give is a place for the boy to sit.
The story is about the selfless love that the tree has for the boy, and that she would do anything for him to make him happy in his life. God also gives to us all that he can in this life that he thinks will be able to help us in this life. He does not however give us everything we want, he only gives to us the things we really need in this life. He also like the tree gives in the hope that we will be able to come home to him someday. He Like the tree in the story is sad when we are unable to return to him, he wants all of us to be with him someday, it wont be easy but it will be possible. He like the tree rejoices when we come back to him. His hopes are that we will all be happy in this life.
