In the April General Conference 1976 President Boyd K Packer shared an Experience that he had had while he was Africa. He told of the his audience of a destructive force that was in Africa. Crocs are a danger to all who come near water. President Packer tells of another Crocodile, though not big gray lizards that can bite you to pieces he tells us, "but spiritual crocodiles, infinitely more dangerous, and more deceptive and less visible, even, than those well-camouflaged reptiles of Africa." "These spiritual crocodiles can kill or mutilate your souls. They can destroy your peace of mind and the peace of mind of those who love you. Those are the ones to be warned against, and there is hardly a watering place in all of mortality now that is not infested with them."

Dare to Stand Alone
This experience was taken from the October General Conference in 2011, the title of this talk is "Dare to Stand Alone" by President Thomas S. Monson.
President Thomas S. Monson shares an experience he had in the Navy in which he had to stand alone and reminds us that “we are never alone when we stand with our Father in Heaven.”

Has there been a time when you have needed to stand alone in doing what you know is right?

Judge not
At this time I am often reminded of the judgements that we make in this life. I am reminded of my own judgements, I have come to the conclusion that some of these judgements are very hasty judgements and quite often I have been wrong with those judgements that have been made. A scripture illustrates this point, 3 Nephi 14:1. And now it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words he turned again to the multitude, and did open his mouth unto them again, saying: Verily, verily, I say unto you, Judge not, that ye be not judged. also Dallan H Oaks said, "There are two kinds of judging: final judgments, which we are forbidden to make, and intermediate judgments, which we are directed to make, but upon righteous principles."
So, if you make judgements, make sure they are good ones, for the Judgements we make we will also be Judged.

The Giving Tree
Today my Blog post is about one of my favorite childrens books that I think that a lot of people know about, it is called The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. For those that don't know the story, I will recap. The Giving Tree is a story about a relationship between a young boy and a tree. The tree gives everything it has to all the boy's desires. by the end of the story the tree is nothing more than a stump and the boy is now an old man, now unable to give all she has to the boy, the only thing she can give is a place for the boy to sit.
The story is about the selfless love that the tree has for the boy, and that she would do anything for him to make him happy in his life. God also gives to us all that he can in this life that he thinks will be able to help us in this life. He does not however give us everything we want, he only gives to us the things we really need in this life. He also like the tree gives in the hope that we will be able to come home to him someday. He Like the tree in the story is sad when we are unable to return to him, he wants all of us to be with him someday, it wont be easy but it will be possible. He like the tree rejoices when we come back to him. His hopes are that we will all be happy in this life.
